Say hello to Sumo®! Inspired by the needs of supermoto racers who require both extreme flexibility and extreme protection, the Sumo® gloves are ideal for street riding too. In fact, to make it even more useful for everyday riding, we added a new touch screen interface to the finger tips for controlling your iPhone/Android/GPS, etc.

The secret to adding protection without sacrificing our legendary flexibility and comfort is the use of a specialized Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) material. Its computer optimized, segmented design is transparent to the user yet provides serious impact resistance.

Compared to the standard DeerTours®, the Sumo® has a half-inch longer cuff with a closed-loop design. It also adds impact protection to the knuckles, fingers and wrist bones.

Proudly made in the USA.

    Sumo Gloves

Posted by Doug Green on 25th Mar 2021

Hello, I am a CMSP Instructor and have not used these gloves yet. However, I have two other pairs of Lee Parks Gloves and really like them. I am sure the Sumos will also be excellent gloves.

    Sumo gloves

Outstanding gloves! Sizing chart on website is spot-on. I normally wear XL gloves and bought these in Small - perfect fit, and broke in after one hour ride. Great feel, too, and solid craftsmanship.

    Stylish comfort

These gloves for perfectly from say one, and will only improve, I'm sure of that. They have an aggressive look to the exoskeleton, that moves with your fingers, making for the most comfortable riding glove...... Well, glove..... I've ever worn. Highly recommended for all but the warmer days as it is not vented.

    Incredible Gloves!

Fit: I am normally a medium or large in other gloves, but my measurements corresponded to the "small" on the size chart, so that's what I got. They fit tight but they are breaking in and stretching into a perfect fit.
Dexterity: Absolutely remarkable. It's almost like you're wearing a latex glove. The armor does not restrict movement at all.
Protection: I hope I never have to find out, but the armor is in all the right places, and I'll take LPD's word for it that they work.
Comfort: my only complaint is that with such a close fit, the seams can be uncomfortable, and they really should not have sewn a tag into the inside seam, and certainly not one that isn't easily torn away. Now I want to try the Sumo R with the external seams.

    Simply Outstanding

Could not ask for better craftsmanship, better materials or better design. My old 'glove problems' have been solved with a single product. Thanks very much.

    Another winner

Posted by JV on 16th Jul 2020

I’ve been using LeeParks design gloves for years. I have a couple pairs that I used for 8 months in South America that lasted years and a couple low sides. The most comfortable and longest lasting gloves I have owned. I’ve used synthetic gloves before that would only last a few months. The deer skin/elk skin combo is a winner. I won’t ride with anything else. I appreciate the flexible protection of the sumos along with the comfort.

This is my second pair of Sumo gloves. The fit is great (use the fitting guide!). Comfort, dexterity, etc. are great. Longevity on my previous pair was no better than other gloves I've had from other well known manufacturers (Dianese, Alpinestars, TourMaster, AGV). I wore holes in the first pad area of both middle fingers, and also in the ring finger of one glove. Also suffered a separation (hole) where the rubber is sewn onto the thumb of one glove, near the web. A possible solution would be to add a second layer on the tips of the 2nd and possibly 3rd fingers, like is on the thumb and index fingers. All care instructions were followed. I've had other gloves that were as comfortable and lasted just as long, that cost half as much. I bought my current pair to give them another go, and hopefully they will last longer.
