Never choose between durability and dexterity again! Inspired by the needs of supermoto racers who require both extreme flexibility and extreme protection, the Sumo® R gloves are ideal for street riding too. In fact, to make it even more useful for everyday riding, we added a new touch screen interface to the finger tips for controlling your iPhone/Android/GPS, etc.

The secret to adding protection without sacrificing our legendary flexibility and comfort is the use of a specialized Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) material. Its computer optimized, segmented design is transparent to the user yet provides serious impact resistance.

Compared to the standard DeerSports®, the Sumo® R has a completely outseam construction. It also adds impact protection to the knuckles, fingers and wrist bones.

It is suitable for all kinds of street and track riding, and includes all the same features as the standard Sumo model.

Proudly made in the USA.

    Sumo R Gloves

Posted by Brendan Boyle on 15th Mar 2022

Excellent gloves. Thick enough for a high level of protection and soft enough for perfect tactile sensation of the controls. Smart phone touch screen accessibility is the best I’ve ever experienced. I can’t recommend these gloves enough.

    Sumo r gauntlet gloves

Not broken in yet. Thumb is a little short. Wide strap at end of gauntlet and the underlying velcro are pretty stiff and not wanting to fold over for a smooth fit.

    Sumo R

Used the size chart and was borderline Large, so I went with the Medium. A bit snug but got better after using them for a 1450 mile trip. Love the smooth inside and they are super soft and comfortable. Also like the long gauntlet, and the wrist closure is secure enough that they won't pull off in a mishap, but not uncomfortable at all.

    Top Tier Gloves

Posted by Gerald West on 20th Apr 2021

My girlfriend ordered these gloves for me upon my request. After promptly receiving the Sumo R gloves size small I was very impressed with every aspect. Probably the most awesome gloves I've ever worn. The fit finish and comfort is superior. Very well made and great attention to detail. I will be ordering another pair to rotate. Thanks to Motojitsu for recommending these! Thanks Lee Parks & Company!

    Sumo Gauntlet Gloves

Posted by Jim Gravante on 30th Dec 2020

I just received Lee Parks’ Sumo Gauntlet Gloves and they far exceeded my expectations. I’ve purchased many gloves over the last 35 years and nothing comes close in comfort, tactile feel, quality or style! I consider the hands the most important point of contact on my motorcycle, and the Sumo’s inspire confidence and control. Invest in the best!

    Best Gloves!

    Posted by C$ on 25th Dec 2020

I have tried every type of gloves and these are by far the best! Don't hesitate to buy these! The material is soft and comfortable. You can feel the handlebars perfectly. They are great for the winter as they cover the opening of your jacket. Motojitsu recommended these and I had to try them. Best gloves!!!!! Thank you!!!!

    Inferior to Deer Sports

Posted by Ronald Espinosa on 2nd Nov 2020

These are considerably less comfortable than the Deer Sports. I think the biggest difference is the outseams on the stitching of the fingers, which occupy space between the fingers and makes it difficult to move the fingers around while holding onto the handlebar grips. The rubbery protection on the fingers contributes a little bit to stiffness, but not too much.

My biggest dislike is the outseam. I have had other outseam gloves from Lee Parks and the seams did not seem as obtrusive as these do.

I'll probably store these away and keep using my Deer Sports.
