    Get these to practice!

These are a nice addition to ones' motorcycle gear collection. I currently only own a pair of riding jeans but wanted to practice body position in a parking lot without needing to spend several hundred dollars on specific riding pants with knee pucks already on them. This serves that purpose very well. The velcro is extremely sticky on both the face of the pad as well as the straps. The velcro patch itself is very large so any size knee puck will fit on there no problem.

    Total Control Strap Ons

First off, the name. Do not do a search for total control strap ons. Trust me.
Secondly, the first time I pulled the velcro apart, one of the stitched on velcro strips came off. I stitched it back on, no big deal. But it shouldn't have happened.

    Total Control Strapons

Posted by Mr. T on 6th Jan 2020

Bought the Strap-ons last year, in order to modify my textile motorcycle pants, since I never liked to be forced onto one-piece-leathers, just to have Knee-sliders.

For that porpuse they worked excellent, and offer plenty of area to attach the pucks to.
The individual straps, with a width of 3,8cm, make a solid and robust impression.
The intention was to use these Strap-ons for practice sessions on parking lots, and they did their job very good.

However I realised, it is important to have adequate riding pants to use the Strap-ons with. Because protective pants, that are designed with very large knee protectors make it almost impossible to keep the Strap-ons on the right spot.
In my case it has been the Alpinestar Drystar textile pants, and the Strap-ons tended to wander towards the smaller area of the leg, towards the feet, beeing a bit too low.

My solution now is the combination of light Motorcylce-jeans with small protectors and the Strap-ons to practice on the parking lot. Whilst for the big rides on the road my regular gear, with the textile pants, stronger and bigger protectors, no Strap-ons.

the problem with wearing textile gear for comfort is the difficulty of not having sliders for doing drills. this fixes that :)
